아이폰은 백그라운드 실행이 안되기 때문에 개발에 문제가 있다고 생각할 수도 있습니다만
애플에서 제공하는 PNS 서버를 이용하면 쉽게 알림 기능을 활용할 수 있습니다.
안드로이드의 경우는 OS에서 멀티태스킹이 되기 때문에 시스템 타이머를 이용해서 동일한 기능을 제공할 수 도 있고요.
하지만 개발자 입장에서 시스템을 직접 제어하는 안드로이드가 더 효율적으로 느껴질 수 있겠지만, 이것은 분명히 개발자 입장에서 효율적입니다.
왜냐하면 멀티태스킹을 지원하는 OS의 가장 큰 단점이 개발자가 잘 못 만든 스케줄링에 대해서 완벽한 제어가 불가능하기 때문입니다.

Cogito, ergo sum. 나는 생각한다. 그러므로 나는 존재한다. 데카르트가 남긴 유명한 말이다. 이 명제는 생각한다는 것이 존재를 증명한다는 것이지, 생각하는 것이 곧 존재의 의미라는 뜻은 아니다. 그러나 나는 후자의 맥락에서 이 명제를 떠올렸다. 아무 생각이 없는 인간도 과연 존재의 의미를 갖는 것일까?
우리의 일상을 가만히 되짚어 보면, 생각은 우리네 일상의 여백 속에 있다. 잠시 화면에서 눈을 떼고 하늘을 볼 때, 몸을 뒤로 기대고 팔을 쭈욱 뻗으며 눈을 감을 때 우리는 비로소 생각의 여유를 갖게 된다. 생각은 빠름에 있지 않고 느림에 있다. 빈틈에서, 여백에서, 행간에서 생각이 자라날 수 있다.
